Fully comprehensive SOW for Zendaya - looking at her use of social media across platforms. Each lesson contains a starter activity, and plenary - the resource contains all relevant frameworks and theories identified by AQA in the most recent CSP booklet. There is 120 slides of material, a homework booklet - CSP tracker document, Cornell notes summary sheet and some assessment questions. The ppt also has a screen recording of Zendaya’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter contained within to help combat school web filtering systems of social media sites. There are opportunities for further reading contained with reference to relevant newspaper articles.
A 161 slide fully comprehensive Media Two SOW covering all areas of the theoretical framework for A Level Media studies. Homework booklet is included to help with interleaving and practise of unseen analysis skills. Furthermore, unseen extracts are included in the sow (which aren’t in the CSP pack from AQA) to help to build students’ understanding for this topic. An exam question, with planning grid is included and a Cornell summary knowledge organiser template. There is starter (many of which encourage P1/P2 unseen exam skills) and review tasks in every lesson, alonside main activites. All relevant reseach is incuded, taken from a variety of online articles and their links, plus the articles themselves are included too. At least 10 lessons (probably more) of content here with all relevant theories so would be useful for a comprehensive revision resource. This has been adapted to reflect 2023 exam series - taking into consideration the Paper 1 Curran and Seaton question (last question on Paper 1) so that students are more familiar with this theory in the future and can consider their ideas in relation to more than one product.

The interleaving tasks try to focus on key events that Media students should be aware of to encourage a wider understanding of the industry. Relevant articles are included, there is an exam question at the end of the resource. This is a complete sow including all relevant theories, all areas of the framework are included too. This is a fully comprehensive unit of work, which should cover approximately 7-8 weeks worth of lessons (based on 5 hours a week). It aims to introduce students to the four theoretical frameworks of the AQA A Level Media Studies course. It also covers a brief introduction to different media forms that the students will need to be familiar with. There are exemplar answers, exam questions and a homework booklet covering a range of iconic media products designed to supplement students’ learning. This unit aims to introduce students to every theory that the exam board requires them to know about and has a specific focus on unseen media language, unseen media theory question and questions 5.1 and 5,2. The aim would be to give students an understanding of the different theories and frameworks prior to studying any products in depth. The selected products are considered iconic too, which will help students to link to wider examples from the media industry.
This resource includes 16 lessons (254 slides) covering in-depth the video game Horizon Forbidden West (new for exams in 2024). It covers all areas of the frameworks including: narrative, genre, representation, audiences, contexts and industry. Each framework has at least one dedicated lesson and there are 10 hwk tasks included which are designed to heighten students’ knowledge of interesting texts related to video games or to help students interleave their paper 1 and paper 2 skills.
